Thursday 19th July

They will be laughing the other side of their faces when They All Laughed Hamilton 4:35 struts his stuff today. Since moving from all weather to turf the results have been very promising.

Result. Oh dear! looks like the laugh is on me. Getting yourself bauked in and held up in a 6 furlong race makes life a little difficult. Finished 5/8.

Wednesday 18th July

Not much around today, I would have a day off, but if you feel  the need to part with some hard earned cash try Norman Beckett Uttoxeter 4:40 he has been second in his last three races and with W Marston in control you never know!!  or go and have a game of bingo.

Result: managed 3rd @ 4/5 not bad for the red hot favourite!!!!! hope the bingo was better.

Todays Nap Monday 16th July

Yorkshire Blue Ayr 15:30. Sounds like something you ask for at the deli counter is todays selection, with conditonal jockey G Bartly in the saddle and trained by J S Goldie the 8year old bay gelding is worth a flutter.

Result. He was pretty grim really even for a Monday, pehaps racing is not his thing.

Todays Nap Friday 13th July

When Irish eyes are smiling,we hope they will be this evening when Aliceinwonderland romps home in the 5:45 at Cork. She won here in June and there’s no reason why a win shouldn’t be on the cards tonight.

Result: Well she sort of romped, but unfortunately five others romped that little bit faster.

Todays Nap Thursday 12th July

Warwick 4:40: Mick is Back, I don’t know where he has been! but he appears to have a chance here today. He is on form and the going should be to his liking. This is his first time at Warwick and over the distance. D.Sweeney should be able to give Mr JR Boyle something to smile about today.

Result: Perhaps not a big smile more a curl of the top lip, he was well beaten into 5th place by Lordship the 7/2 winner.

Todays Nap Wednesday 11th July

Shmookh Newmarket 2:00 is going down a class and running two furlongs less than his last race. Last year at the same course, and with R. Hills as the jockey he finished second and third over the same distance.

Result: Well done to Richard Hill a nice 12/1 winner

Todays Nap Thursday 5th July

Dawn Sky, Yarmouth 4:00 is my selection today, at the moment he is mister second place having had three runs and finishing second in all of them. Could a change of jockey and going down a class end his run of seconditis.

Still no luck with his first win, beaten by a short head by Iceman George, now where did he come from? Nothing at todays meeting was to his taste.

Todays Nap Tuesday 3rd July

TIBOUCHINA Brighton 4:00 ticks all the boxes today. The R. M. Beckett trained filly has J. Doyle onboard the same combination that won here on the 26th June in virtually the same conditions.

Oops perhaps one box too many ticked. Managed to finish 2nd, beaten half a length by They All Laughed.
