Those of you looking for something extra might like to take a look at World Spirit in last at Windsor (7:45). The main dangers would appear to come from Richard Hannons’s Ellen’s Girl (very poor value) and Pat Eddery’s Cavort (could be each way value).

Result: Good result on both selections Dan Tucket winning at 8/1 and World Spirit finishing second at 4/1 beaten by Ellen’s Girl.

Fringe , Newbury 2:55, is today’s selection. Not exactly the best days racing, but if you must part with any hard earned cash then give this Jane Chapple-Hyam filly a go.

Result: a good race but only managed second (9 runners) at 7/4.

You’resothrilling York 2:05. Four runs, two wins, two seconds this A P O’Brien filly has to be worth a bash.

Result: Doing well till hampered two furlongs out,never recovered. 8/9.

Scriptwriter York 2:35 sees Frankie Dettori in the saddle for the Totesport Ebor Heritage Handicap.K McEvoy rode him to a convincing win at Goodwood in July. All boxes are ticked green for a win here today.

Boscobel York 2:35 is today’s selection, he has done us proud in the past, though admittedly the competition is greater today. His previous wins have been with J Fanning in the saddle. Today the ride goes to Frankie Dettori who rides him for the first time.

Result: Brilliant selection this, he certainly missed the mark today!! 9/9. Better luck today.

If you really can’t manage without a daily flutter try Swift Princess Leicester 3:30 She won at Haydock earlier this month and has consistently been in the first three in all her races this year.

Result:1/8 A fine ride by Jamie Spencer beating his nearest rival by two and half lengths. Don’t pack up the day job he was 4-6.
